First find the force of gravity F=m*g. Then make a force diagram with gravity pointing straight down. The bob is at a 5 degree angle from the vertical so the force in the vertical direction is mg*cos(angle). Depending on the calculator your using you may need to convert 5 degrees in to radians. Which can easily be done by: angle*pi/180
